Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company assisted Harleysville Fire Company at a motor vehicle crash with entrapment. The vehicle was stabilized and the patient rescued by fire personnel. Patient was transported from the scene by Harleysville Area Emergency Medical Services.
Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company responded to a two vehicle crash. Crews cleaned up the fluids on the road and secured the vehicles from possible fire by disconnecting the batteries in the vehicles. Lower Frederick Fire crews assisted and Plymouth Ambulance was there for the patient care.
The Philadelphia Folksong Society, in cooperation with the Upper Salford Township Fire Company, Upper Salford Board of Supervisors, Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and other emergency response agencies, will be conducting an emergency response drill; with emergency response vehicles and personnel; at the festival site on Tuesday, August 11th from 6 to 9 PM. Please be aware this is only a drill. In addition there will be helicopters involved in this drill. The drill is designed to prepare emergency responders for any type of mass casualty event. Stations 52 & 78 held a joint training night to practice roof ventilation and fire fighter interior rescue techniques.

Station 78 held a joint training night with stations 52 & 73 at the Skippack Burn Building. Crews trained in search and rescue, use of infrared cameras, ladder placement, hose advancement and executing an interior fire attack in a smoke filled building.
Station 78 held a joint water rescue practice night with stations 52 & 66. Crews demonstrated a rescue technique using ropes and raft to gain access to a midstream rescue scenario. The light towers from the trucks parked on the bridge illuminated the rescue area.
